Welcome to September! With fall just around the corner, we are getting more and more excited to open our 2025-25 Anniversary Season on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Have you gotten your tickets yet? As we look for ways to celebrate our anniversary, please consider attending the special screening of the documentary we began during our 50th anniversary in 2020. Over the course of 45 minutes, you will learn the history of how MOSY came to be and the people who helped it along in the beginning. Read below to learn more! The evening features Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 and Symphony No. 7. Internationally acclaimed pianist Peter Miyamoto joins the orchestra as soloist. The performance will be led by Maestro Wilbur Lin, whose thoughtful direction continues to guide MOSY into an exciting new season.
Celebrate MOSY’s Story at the Anniversary Screening of Another WorldJoin us on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, for a special evening at Ragtag Cinema as the Missouri Symphony presents an anniversary screening of Another World—a documentary originally commissioned to celebrate MOSY’s 50th anniversary in 2020. Discover the rich history of how the Missouri Symphony came to be and the visionary individuals who brought it to life. The evening begins with a live performance by Zemra Duo—featuring violist Dominique Archambeau and cellist Adrián Gómez Hernández—from 6:00–6:20 PM, followed by the screening of Another World at 6:30 PM. Stay for a thought-provoking panel discussion at 7:15 PM, featuring MOSY staff and the documentary filmmakers. Don't miss this inspiring intersection of music, film, and conversation!
