School is back in session... time for a new semester of the MOSY Conservatory!

Hello Reader,

With the start of school this week, we have the Missouri Symphony Conservatory on our minds! If you have any young musicians, we would love to have them join us. The new year kicks off on Monday, September 15, 2025. Read on to learn more information. And if you want a more in-depth look into the first concert of our 2025-26 season, Triumph: Peter Miyamoto Plays With MOSY, look no further. We hope these tidbits will entice you to get your tickets soon!

The MOSY Conservatory kicks off the Fall 2025 Semester soon. Is your young musician registered yet?

The semester will begin on September 29, but there will be a "Try Out Day" on September 15. Students and families who are unsure about enrolling can come for a try-out day and see if they are interested in joining.

The conservatory in 2025/2026 will be organized in two different ensembles, the Overture Philharmonic Orchestra and Missouri Youth Symphony Orchestra. Each group will have a performance every semester, plus additional performances and fun activities - fundraisers, concerts at Lenoir Woods, and much more.

The program for our season opener, Triumph: Peter Miyamoto Plays with MOSY, will feature Beethoven's impassioned Piano Concerto #3.

Music Director, Wilbur Lin, notes: One senses both the gravitas of C minor first movement, the heavenly second movement, and the joyful and humorous, almost Mozartian, third movement. And with this, alongside other pieces composed around the same time and premiered in the same concert (his Second Symphony and cantata Christ on the Mount of Olives), Beethoven entered a prolific decade that musicologists now consider his middle, or “heroic,” period."

Get your tickets today and join us to experience this heroic composition performed live.

Fondly,

Trent
